Can CBD Oil Help Fight Against Cancer?
Neutralizing the negative effects of free radicals:
The accumulation of free radicals in body cells and muscles can tamper with cellular integrity thus increasing the rate of exposure to carcinogens and supporting the growth of cancerous cells. The interaction of CBD and the receptors of the endocannabinoid system can neutralise the harmful effects of the free radicals thereby maintaining internal homeostasis. The antioxidant effect of CBD has also been widely documented in detoxification and boosting of cellular health and signaling.

The History of Cannabis
The oldest known written record of cannabis comes from a Chinese emperor in 2727 BC while it has been found in Siberian burial mounds dating back to 3000 BC. Ancient Greeks and Romans then also started using it and it eventually spread west to Spain and the Americas.

Cannabinoids
Cannabis contains over 100 different compounds called cannabinoids where CBD and THC are a couple of the most abundant and well researched. The cannabis flower, present on the female cannabis plant is covered in resin glands where cannabinoids such as THC and CBD are extracted from. Cannabis resin is a dark to light brown substance which is scraped off the surface of the cannabis plant and pressed into a solid lump, sometimes referred to as hashish.

Consuming CBD Oil – How do I do it?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is most commonly consumed as an oil, mixed with a carrier such as olive oil, coconut oil (MCT) or hemp seed oil. When CBD is consumed with fatty acids this maximises the bioavailability as it binds to the fat molecules during the absorption and digestion process. This same concept applies to other fat soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, D, E and K. As a general rule, consuming CBD with a fatty meal will improve absorption rates.
